Rules of
Play
GOLF SCRAMBLE RULES: (all golf
rules shall conform to USGA Rules with allowance for local rules)
FORMAT: 9 hole Tournament - four person scramble tournament.
RULES: All rules interpretations will be handled and resolved by
the local Pro. In the event of a tie, the Pro will determine by
format.
Best ball will be played using
3 or 4 person teams.
Team format will consist of handicapped
A, B, C, & D players (four person team).
The player with the lowest handicap
will be the team captain, responsible for keeping the score, enforcing
proper golf rules/etiquette and turning in score card.
Handicaps will be taken from AGA.
If a player does not have an established handicap and there are
sufficient scores posted in the AGA system, then the tournament
chairperson will attempt to establish a handicap. If no scores are
posted or there is an insufficient number to create a legitimate
handicap, the member may not participate in the tournament.
Each player on the team plays their
own golf ball throughout the round with the low net score or "best
ball" of the group serving as the team score on each hole.
Teams with 4 players must use each
players score for at least 2 holes while teams of 3 players must
use each players score 3 times.
Scorecards will be created in advance.
For each hole, for each player a handicap will be identified on
the card by a number of dots. Each player's score will be recorded
as gross and the handicap for each player applied to get a net score,
then at the bottom of the card will be a line for the lowest net
score for that hole to be recorded.
On each hole all balls must be
putted out in order to establish the lowest net score. If a player's
score is considered beyond help then that player may pick-up and
be ruled out of the hole.
9. Tee off from the white tees.
10. There will be no mulligans.
GOLF ETIQUETTE:
1. Please smooth all marks made in sand traps
2. Leave the putting green as soon as you have holed out.
3. Do not walk in the putting line of your partners.
4. Do not play until the players in front of you are out of range.
5. Balls may be cleaned only after they are on the green.
6. Ball marks can be repaired prior to putting.
